TOPIC: MY FATHER, RECREATE ME
TEXT: Matthew 4:19
MINISTERING: Dr. Daniel Olukoya(G.O MFM Worldwide)
🔥 My Father, recreate me by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.
That prayer point is our topic. Please listen carefully to this message. It is a very deep message which I want to try and make easy, for you to understand.
In Matthew 4, Peter was already a fully blooded man. Peter was already married. Possibly he had children. He was an expert fisherman. He was not a small boy, neither was he still in his mother’s womb. He was already grown up. But in verse 19, Jesus said something to him.
Peter had already been travelling in his journey of life before he met Jesus. But it now got to a stage here which is critical. Peter was already made. He was not a fisher of men. He was a fisher of fish. Then at his old age now, somebody grabbed him and said “although a fisher of fish, I will now make you a fisher of men”.
Listen to me very very carefully. There is a reinventing power. There is a recreating power. God is the creator. There is no one created that by God that He does not know how to panel beat or deal with. In our journey of life, God ordains contracts and persons to bring us to our place of purpose. God ordains situations, circumstances, connections, destiny helpers to move us to where He might work in us and through us.
God receives us as we are but if we allow Him, He does not leave us as we are. When you come to Jesus, He will take you as you are. You say “Father, I am a prostitute and I am coming to you”. He says “whosoever will, may come”. You say “Father I am a drunkard, I come to you”. He says “whosoever will, may come.” You say “Father, I am a liar, I come to you”. He says “whosoever will, may come”.
But if you allow Him, He does not leave you as you are. He begins to work in your life, changing that life for you. No man is beyond divine recreation as long as you yield yourself. “I will make you fishers of men. You were a fisher of fish. True. You are an old man but I will make you a fisher of men. Follow me and I will make you a fisher of men.”
So who you follow determines what follows you. If you follow confusion, confusion follows you. If you follow excellence, excellence follows you. “Follow me” He says, “and I will make you…” So it is when you follow Him that He will make you what He wants you to become. If you do not follow Him and you do not listen to instructions, you will be in trouble. Serious trouble! You are made by whom you follow. If you follow the devil, he will confuse you. If you follow the Lord, He will remake you.
🔥 I prohesy upon you, you will follow Jesus! You will follow Jesus! You will follow Jesus, in the name of Jesus!
The Bible says for the first time in the life of Saul the king of Israel, he began to prophesy. Why? Because he found himself in the company of prophets. He followed the prophets and because he was following the prophets, he too began to prophesy until people said “is Saul also among the prophets? Is he there?” If you follow fools, you die as a fool.
God takes us as we are, but if you allow Him and you yield yourself, and you say “all to Jesus I surrender”, He will now take you and begin to remake you. Where the world has put poison for you, He throws out the poison. Where they planted arrows, He throws out the arrows. Where they put iron and the iron is not supposed to be there, He removes it. Where they have turned the head upside down, He turns it the right way. But the process and the duration of the remaking of each person differs from person to person.
In remaking Joseph, God had to take him away from his family. He took him away from his Loving Father who was spoiling him by sewing clothes different from that of the others. He had to be withdrawn from that place. He was a spoilt little boy with a loose mouth. He was thrown into prison in a foreign land. In all this, God was remaking him to be the person who would eventually become the prime minister.
God looked at Moses. Moses had so much self confidence. He had studied in the university of Egypt. He was an expert in all the arts of Egypt. Infact, those magicians who came to confront Moses were his colleagues before. God looked at the man and said “if this one is not remade, he will not make any difference. His destiny will sink.” So Moses was sent into the university of the wilderness in the Midian desert. There, he was remade.
God took him to become a shepherd because later on, he would be leading millions of people in the wilderness like a shepherd. He needed to be purged of the palace spirit inside of him, he needed to have the shepherd spirit. Moses had to be purged, drained of that spirit and humbled to the position of a shepherd in order to be remade. It took war and aggression to make David into the great leader he eventually became.
Recently, I have been studying 1 Samuel, 2nd Samuel, 1 Kings and 2 Kings. The wars that David fought, I do not think that any General, whether dead or alive has ever fought them.
Those wars made him what he eventually became. Elisha was the son of a rich man but he had to be remade so that he could be positioned in order to receive the double portion. He became somebody who was pouring water on the hands of Elijah until he was positioned to received the double portion.
He had met Elijah ten years before he received the double portion. Many of us are in a hurry and those who are in a hurry never know the secret of God. Always in too much hurry. “Time is going, I want this, I want that”. God says “But relax, let me remake you to become what I want you to become”. You say “no, I cannot wait, it is taking too long”. But ten years that Elisha had been following Elijah before the double portion came. For Joseph, it took ten years since leaving his father to become what he eventually became. Moses took forty years. It took David 15 years, from the moment he was declared the king of Israel before he could become the king. God needed time to remake him.
We beloveth are as clay in the hands of a potter. Some allow the potter to finish them in one year. Others, due to stubbornness, take ten years. It is possible for you as you are sitting and listening to me tonight to be the one frustrating the divine calendar for your own life. Because the level God expected you to have left 5 years ago, you are still there. The thing God expected you to have understood many years ago and even be a teacher to others, you have not left that class.
So because you remain in that class and you are not leaving the place, you do not go forward, you do not go backward, then those coming behind you will go ahead of you and those who were on the same level with you have gone ahead of you again. You are frustrating the divine calendar. Stubbornness delays the remaking of the Almighty.
At Calvary, two thieves hung on the cross, one on either side of Jesus. They received an invitation from Jesus to ride into paradise with Him. One thief wasted his only chance and mocked his way into hell. The other thief grabbed the chance and got to paradise.
Tonight, there is an invitation to the potter’s house. No matter how marred the world would have marred you, nobody how terrible the environment you are in has coloured your life, no matter whether they got your mother pregnant under a trailer or they got her pregnant inside a ‘buka’ but you are here now, He can make you again into another vessel. He will take you and make you again into another vessel. He will take you as you are but He will not leave you as you are.
But there is one serious point which is a matter for the serious prayers of tonight. God will not continue to be at work on a person’s life forever. God might not be waiting for you for much longer. You may have 5 month, 2 months, one week, one year or five years left.
One day the final bell of the Almighty shall ring. For that reason, prophet Isaiah pleaded. He said ‘seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near’ meaning that a time will come when He will not be found anymore.
A time is coming when He may not be near. That time you go to look for preachers, the preachers are gone. The implication of this is that, God will not always be near, He will not always be found. Jesus warned. He said “I must work the works of Him that sent me while it is day, the night cometh when no man can work’. Do not be like the five foolish virgins. Guests have arrived, the feast is on, but the doors are shut and you find yourself outside.
You need to cry to heavens loud and clear. “O Lord, recreate me!” You need to yield. Instead of yielding your body to temptation, yield that body to God.
*To yield means to:*
– cooperate with the Master,
– to endure hardships,
– pray sacrificially,
– study your Bible sacrificially,
– obey without reservation,
– remain unpolluted in this polluted world,
– fight the good fight of faith,
– be broken,
– say no to the suggestion of the enemy.
– is next to the shortest word in English language.
– is a concentrated declaration of your will.
– is the backbone of your character. Something says ‘do this wrong thing’ but you say ‘No.’
– is the indicator of how solid you are.
– is the barometer of how strong you are.
– is that thing that measures your inner moral force.
– is that aggressive dog that is guarding your treasure.
– is that high fence that protects you from losing your destiny.
That word ‘No’ has delivered so many women from instant death that they think is love. ‘No’ that somebody has said although gently, is as hard as steel and has delivered so many people from bondage. That is what it means to yield.
1. (Pray this 2 hot times) My Father, recreate me, in the name of Jesus.
2. Powers protecting my battles from dying, you are liars, die, in the name of Jesus.
3. By the power in the blood of Jesus, the rag in my foundation will not capture me, in the name of Jesus.
4. Powers trading with my virtues, before I leave this place, die, in the name of Jesus.
5. Expected and unexpected testimonies, manifest in my life, in the name of Jesus.
6. Powers fasting to terminate my life, Lion of the tribe of Judah, waste them, in the name of Jesus.
7. Glory of God that will make me forget my problems, fall upon me now, in the name of Jesus.
8. Battle distributors, I am not your candidate, die, in the name of Jesus.
9. O heavens arise, swallow any power that does not want to let me go, in the name of Jesus.
10. Witchcraft powers gathered to fight me, destroy yourselves, in the name of Jesus.
God bless you 🙏
