I want to show you the characteristics of this spirit, how to confront it and how to deal with it. It will be a tragedy if you have the knowledge of a situation and you do not use your knowledge to save yourself.

If there is any spirit we need to confront head on, this is the major one. Sodomy is the spirit of Belial.

Beloveth, there is a powerful spirit that is rarely addressed that has turned men upside down. It is the spirit of Belial.

︎Worthlessness

︎Valueless

︎Useless

︎Despicable

︎Wickedness

︎Evil

︎Ungodly

︎Good for nothing

︎Cheap and vile.

Belial is a ruling spirit of wickedness. A powerful principality with a host of demons under it that operate under its command. And from the few passages we have read, we see that in the first one *(Deuteronomy 13:13)*, men with the spirit of Belial said they should go and serve other gods.

In the second one *(Judges 19:22)*, men with the spirit of Belial wanted to rape a fellow man like themselves. In the third one *(1 Kings 21:13)*, men were bearing false witnesses which led to the death of somebody who owned his property.

In the fourth place that we read *(2 Cor. 6:15-16)*, God said we should have nothing to do with them, that there is no agreement at all between the children of God and Belial.

It is a ruling spirit of wickedness. But from reading these passages and from other passages about Belial in scriptures, we are able to understand the characteristics of this strong man which has captured people and which we do not sometimes pay attention to.

And in a strange boiling year like this, this spirit would be in manifestation for which purpose we need to start restrategizing our prayers and we need to pray certain prayers; maybe the type of prayers we have not been praying before.

The kind of prayers that people will hear and say *_”this is wickedness! How can they be praying these kinds of prayers?”_* But there is no gentle way of arresting wickedness. Every method to arrest wickedness is violent.

*>>> That is why I am praying for somebody here, the plan of the wicked for your life, family, career, children shall be buried in the name of Jesus.*

︎Causes men and women to commit sins that are abominable.

︎Draws men away from the living God to idols.

Many of our modern day men are chronic idol worshippers. Many of our Christians are chronic idol worshippers. It is not when you bow down to Amadioha or Sango that you are an idol worshipper.

No, a lot of people worship money. Some worship jewelry. Some food. Some sex. Anything you put before God or beside God is an idol. So, a lot of our generation are idol worshippers.

And it would be a tragedy to get to heaven and they say “you cannot enter here because you are an idol worshipper” and you say “but I did not worship any idol in my village” and they say “but you worshipped modern day idols.”

The Bible says, when the love in your heart is not the love for God, you are an idol worshipper. Plenty of modern day idol worshippers are everywhere. Some worship their skin, some, their houses.

Some, their cars. Some take more care of their cars than their spiritual life. Such a person should be told point blank that he is an idol worshipper.

And this is a strange phenomenon that a man can spend the whole of his life in what will not move his life forward. It is the power and spirit of Belial drawing men from the living God to idols.

The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries is a church that believes in holiness within and without and we do not allow people to dress anyhow.

We do not allow people to come to our church and dress the way they like; because a lot of people are already in trouble even without those kinds of dresses. Then those kinds of dresses will then lead them more astray.

*The spirit of Belial:*

︎Leads men astray; makes them follow worthless things that have no value. They forget that God said _”seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness”._

They run after worthless things; things that will be useless the minute the Lord says “that is all right, come home”.

︎Seduces men and draws them away from the Lord.

– Causes people to be selfish and stingy; just keep hoarding things like money, books, clothes etc. You hoard all kinds of things.

︎Promotes homosexual lust.

︎Causes family disruption.

︎Brings people under the bondage of addictive sins: makes people addicted to things like alcohol, cigarettes and all kinds of addictions.

︎Makes believers continue to live in sin and pretend to be holy. They pretend that they are holy whereas; it is a lie.

︎Leads God’s servants astray. And I tell you the truth, a lot of pastors are just missing the way.

︎Promotes lack of mercy and compassion and there is plenty of that around now: no mercy, no compassion.

︎Promotes greed and gluttony.

︎Causes a person to be accusing others of the very sin in his own life.

Unfortunately, once the spirit of Belial moves into a life, family or an environment, it tears down the protective spiritual wall around a person. The wall of fire that God has built around a person, this spirit has the power to pull it down if you allow it to come inside.

*>>> I am praying that anyone here being caged by this spirit will be released by fire in the name of Jesus.*

︎Promotes unexplainable fear and may cause people to be swallowed in unreasonable flood of fear. Some are so scared and afraid.

︎Is the wicked lying spirit that plots to steal, to kill and to destroy. Getting believers who speak the truth now is becoming a rare commodity. You find Christians telling lies as a common thing now and it is a tragedy.

︎Is that spirit that convinces people that they have incurable diseases and that they will never get well. They convince the person that the sickness will kill him and he will not get well because it is a wicked spirit.

︎Is the spirit behind the corruption, the crookedness and the wicked lies that we hear.

︎Is the one responsible for marital destruction.

︎Causes men to act without conscience, and once that conscience is gone: seared with a hot iron or is defiled, then the spirit of Belial moves in and causes unspeakable wickedness to happen.

Everyone has a conscience but this spirit can neutralise the CONSCIENCE before seducing the person to commit sin.

︎Is the spirit responsible for abominable sexual perversions.

︎Is the one responsible for cross dressing (man dressing like woman, woman dressing like man). It is wrong when a woman is dressing like a man and when a man is dressing like a woman.

︎Is the one responsible for prostitution and pornography.

If you do not address this spirit, the Bible terms the person too as a child of Belial and if we do not bring it to order, it has the capacity to cage, confuse, make somebody disobedient to God, push somebody into what the person should not be pushed into.

It has the capacity to make a believer backslide, make a person even blaspheme the name of the Lord because it is a shameless spirit and highly deceptive.

*Four Keys to Confronting the Spirit of Belial:*

1. We must attack the spirit with acidic aggression. It is not the spirit you joke with, because the demons under him are so numerous and so wicked. You must attack it.

2. You must separate yourself from this spirit. The Bible says you have nothing to do with it.

3. You must guard your heart. The Bible says “guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life”. Whatever you are doing, guard that heart with all diligence.

4. Lose yourself from the curse of Belial; because once the Bible allows a person to term him or her as a child of Belial, the person comes under a curse.

So all the disobedience, uncleanness, adultery, infirmity, rape, rebellion, prostitution, irreverence in the house of God, alcoholism, immorality, sodomy, apostasy, backsliding, drug addiction, false teaching, fornication, blasphemy, perversions, lawlessness, pornography, shamelessness, lust, deception and heresy, hardness of heart, sexual impurity, all the filthiness, lying are all children of the strongman called *”The Spirit of Belial”*.

You must attack it. We must look at you and know you are serving the living God. Your outlook must be different from those serving the devil.

And this spirit is what we need to confront here today.

1. O God arise and let my story change in the name of Jesus.

2. Thou power of mysterious affliction, die in the name of Jesus.

3. Thou crystal ball, thou mirror of darkness assigned against me, scatter in the name of Jesus.

1. Power of Belial in my father’s house, die in the name of Jesus.

2. Power of Belial troubling my star, die in the name of Jesus.

3. Altars of Belial assigned to trouble me, catch fire in the name of Jesus.

4. (Pray this three times)_* Serpents and scorpions of Belial, my life is not your candidate, die in the name of Jesus.

5. Witchcraft projections into my dream, what are you waiting for? Die in the name of Jesus.

6. Where is the God of Isaac? Arise, multiply my laughter in the name of Jesus.

7. Coffin of darkness assigned against me, swallow your senders in the name of Jesus.

8. Any satanic anointing speaking against me, dry up in the name of Jesus.

9. (Lay your right hand upon your head)_* Garment of disgrace, catch fire in the name of Jesus.

10. Powers circulating my name for evil, your time is up, die in the name of Jesus.

11. Power of discouragement, I am not your candidate, die in the name of Jesus.

12. Tongues soaked in charms against me, catch fire in the name of Jesus.

13. Powers assigned to multiply my problems, you are liars, die in the name of Jesus.

14. Every gathering of my mockers, scatter in the name of Jesus.

15. Every evil plan against my glory, scatter in the name of Jesus.
