Message:

The Lord has a message for us today and it is important for us to hear the message and to work with it.
In the book of Isaiah 52:1, the Lord is talking to the church. It means that Zion was already weak and because it was already weak, God commanded Zion to awake.
There is a light that is promised but that light will not be yours until you awake from that sleep.
God is telling somebody here today if you will not harden your heart, if you will not reject His voice, that it is time to wake up. Don’t push it to tomorrow, time to wake up is now.

Time is an important commodity that you cannot separate from your life. Time is so important that you cannot neglect it. To neglect time is a sign for disaster.
It has been well said that time is the most valuable and the most perishable of all our possessions. Time is what we want most but it is what we use worst. A wasted time is a wasted life. Time is free but it is priceless.
You can not hold it but you can use it. You can’t keep it but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it, you can never get it back.

Ignorance of your timing can destroy your life permanently. Ignorance of your own time can destroy your life permanently. The major problem of Gehazi is not the love of money, it was ignorance of his timing. Prophet Elisha said to him that ‘is it time to receive money, garment or sheep and oxen? Is it time to receive men servant and maid servant?’. Because of that, leprosy clinged to Gehazi and his seed forever because he was ignorant of his timing.
Jesus saw Jerusalem and the Bible says He wept. Why did He weep over Jerusalem? They didn’t know their timing.

The rich man in the Luke 12, after gathering a lot of wealth, he proudly said to his soul to take rest and relax, eat drink and be merry. God said to him that day ‘you fool, this very night, your soul shall be required from thee’. He (the rich man) was ignorant of his timing.
Ignorance of your timing can destroy your life totally. God is saying loudly – to someone here that it is time to awake.

When you look at the word ‘awake’ that God mentioned in the Bible, the Hebrew word is ‘worah’ which means to arouse, It means:

– It means to stir up.

– Meaning don’t settle down, it means to arise. You are either arising or lying down

– To be sensitive.

– To be aware.

– Not to be ignorant

– To be revive

– To shake off the garment of slumbering

Here this: one dangerous activities of the enemy in these last days is to make people sleep spiritually. In many lives, the spirit of slumber is very active and unfortunately not few but many in the house of God are already fast asleep.
The spirit of slumber has taken over many souls and many are not aware of it and they are doing business as usual.
It is possible to be jumping about doing church activities yet spiritually, the person is fast asleep.
It is very very dangerous to be slumbering when you’re suppose to be wide awake.

A.G.O narrates a real life incident:
A woman was brought for prayer and she was on the wheel chair. Tell your story madam, how did you find yourself on this wheel chair? She said ‘it was my driver’. We (she and her driver) were traveling and along their journey, the driver fell asleep, and because of it, they found themselves in a ditch. That is how she damaged her spinal cord. That slumber of the driver sent this woman to the wheel chair permanently.

Your position in the spirit is very important to God and also to the devil. The position of many in the spirit is very very low. When God opens your eyes, you will see some people that they are light weight in the spirit and that ordinary wind can blow them away.
Many are suffering not because they are not educated but they are in the valley in the spirit realm. They are suppose to be doing exploit for God but they are weak and timid.

What the enemy is doing to many people is like what Delilah did to Samson. She spoke to Samson and persuaded him to show her the secret of his strength.
Your head can only be in two place. It could be on the stone or on the lap of Delilah. The head of Jacob was on the stone. The head of Samson was on the lap of Delilah and ended losing his strength.
If Samson didn’t sleep in the spirit, he would have escaped the trap of Delilah. His spirit man was fast asleep.
It is time to awake. The voice of Delilah was louder than the voice of God in the life of Samson because he was already asleep in the spirit.

– The voice that is telling you that you don’t have to fast for long, those who fast for long will have ulcer. That voice is louder than the voice of God. That voice is telling you that you should die.

– That voice that is telling you that a little bit of unrighteousness will not spoil your faith, that voice is telling you to come and die.

When you put your head on the lap of Delilah, you will sleep off and what will happen is death.
The reason why so many find it difficult is because their spirit man has been taken over by the spirit of slumber.
God doesn’t relate with our body nor with our brain, but God communicates with our spirit. If there is anything God will have to show you, you have to communicate with your spirit. That is why God is shouting to all of us today that ‘Church, wake up’; brothers, wake up; sisters, wake up.
It is very possible to be physically awake and active but to be spiritually asleep.

There are so many symptoms that can clearly show that someone is clearly fast asleep in the spirit realm:

1. Inability to understand the scripture. You will read and read but you will not understand. It means that your spirit is fast asleep, you’re slumbering. In the spirit. Jesus said you err because you don’t know the scriptures.

2. Failure to recognize divine opportunities. Blind bartimeous recognized his divine opportunity. They tried to stop him but he didn’t stop. Many are going backward and backward everyday simply because they don’t recognize their divine opportunities and heaven is just shaking its head in sorrow.

3. Lack of sensitivity to spiritual signals. God is showing you signs that there are dangers coming but the person is unable to discern.

4. Difficult to forgive easily. To forgive easily is so hard. Jesus said in Matthew 6:15, if you forgive not those who trespass against you, neither will God forgive you. Many find it difficult to forgive their husband. Not just to forgive but to forgive easily.

5. Praying wrong prayers is a symptoms of slumbering in the spirit. How can somebody be praying that somebody’s wife should die so that she can take her position? The spirit of such person is sleeping.

6. Stealing or avoiding your tithes and offering is a symptom. No matter what anybody is saying, the word of God is very very clear. Lovers of God don’t argue with clear instruction. God is not going to judge you with social media but he will judge you with His word. Someone was talking ‘well, I am coming to MFM just for the prayers. If I want to pray for financial breakthrough, I go to somewhere else’.

7. Having the feelings that you’re better than everyone in the house of God. You have this feeling that you’re more okay and important than everyone in the house of God because of your gift and talents or your status in the society. Who are you? What do you have that someone doesn’t have or have not had before? It is a sign that the person is fast asleep.

8. Not making kingdom project your assignment or priority. What you’re interested is just your own breakthrough, your own protection.

9. Hatred for evangelism is a symptoms that the person is fast asleep. There are people here that since the beginning of this year, you have not won one soul for the Lord.

10. Inability to overcome temptations all the time. Temptation will definitely come and that is not sin. When you fall into it every time, it is a symptom that your spirit man is fast asleep. Jesus was tempted but he didn’t fall into it.

11. Fighting against those that God sent into your life to help you grow spiritually. Can you imagine somebody fighting his own man of God? It shows that your spirit man is sleeping.

12. Praying selfish prayers is a symptoms. Your prayer is always about yourself, your business, your children as every other thing can go to hell.

13. Doing the work of God without the infilling of the Holy Spirit and you’re comfortable and then you feel that God will reward you. All those work you’re doing will not stand the test of fire.

14. Inability to conquer the battle of the bed. Spiritually speaking, physically speaking, sleep has taken over. Those that are spiritually awake do not use the whole of their life sleeping on the bed.

A.G.O narrates another experience:
One of our fathers in the Lord security guard came to me. He said please, I want you to tell our daddy to be sleeping, that he doesn’t sleep oh. Every time in the night, he will be praying. I said you want him to be sleeping so that the church will scatter.

15. Taking the issue of rapture with un-seriousness. You hear about it but nothing moves you at all about it, it is a sign that your spirit man is fast asleep.

Bottomline: You must pray that it is this generation that must witness the second coming of Jesus Christ. Those who are fast asleep in the spirit will not hear. This generation know that the coming of the Lord is very near but they will not hear. This generation wants control but not humility. This generation want to cast out demons but they don’t want to fast. They desire prosperity but they hate tithes and offering. They desire the move of God in signs and wonder but they don’t want to tarry in prayer. If you don’t want to partake in the calamity that will befall this generation, it is time to WAKE UP! Bow down your head. You know yourselves, can you confidently say that you’re alive in the spirit and you’re not slumbering? If you love your destiny and you don’t want to be among those that are deceiving themselves, let your heart begin to talk to the Lord now. Say: Father, help me, wake me up. Enough of slumbering in the spirit, enough of sleeping in the spirit. Speak to the Lord now.

The enemy will come like a flood but God will descend with power., God will raise up a standard against it:

1. Power of God, silence the rage of the wicked in my life in the name of Jesus!
When Isaac came into the family of Abraham, laughter came. When Isaac appeared, laughter appeared. Their sorrow were forgotten, their pain disappeared, their waiting expired. There is someone here, your Isaac is coming. What is the meaning of Isaac – it means laughter:

2. My Isaac, enter my life, come into my life. Come into my family in the name of Jesus!

There are people, you have to push them and push them to pray. They pray because people push them to pray. There are some, you don’t to push them because when they pray, their prayer is the license to their breakthroughs. God told Moses that ‘I have seen the affliction of my people and because of that, I have come down to deliver them’. There is somebody here, for your sake, God is coming down. If that person is you, you have to pray this prayer and show your seriousness:

3. My father, for my sake: come down in the name of Jesus!

I don’t why the Lord said we should pray this prayer but I believe it is for the sake of somebody here today. If you know that the prayer concerns you, you must like a mad prophet. One side of madness is that they are difficult to restrained.

4. Financial bondage in my life, break in the name of Jesus!

Can you understand what it means for someone to be under financial bondage? It means not having enough, not sustaining you talk less of people around you. You have the desire to get something but you are unable to get it, it means the capacity to purchase it is not there.

5. Financial bondage in my life, break, break, break in the the name of Jesus!

The result, the manifestation of that prayer that you just prayed, you will experience it in the mighty name of Jesus! David, the last born in the family, David whom you can never read about his mother in the Bible, completely forgotten about by his own father, who was continually chased out of the house to the bush, that same David rose up and changed his family history. How did it start? It started when the spirit of God came upon him. Samuel took the oil and poured it upon him and right from that day; the spirit of God came upon him and empowered him to rewrite his family history. There is a man or woman here, a boy or a girl here who will rewrite his family history in the name of Jesus! God didn’t plant you inside that family as a mistake, you are in that family to carry out a genuine assignment. You need the power and the spirit of God.

CONVENTION BIBLE STUDY 2 – CHARACTERISTICS OF REVIVAL

BIBLE STUDY – CHARACTERISTICS OF REVIVAL

MEMORY VERSE: Acts. 3:19 “Repent ye therefore and be convened, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.”

TEXT: Rev. 1:19-2o, 2:1-29; 3:1-22

INTRODUCTION: Revival does not come by having so many churches around. Many of the old churches are dead and quite a number of the new ones are business centers. This kind of condition cannot bring revival.

Rev. 3:1-2 says “And to the Angel of the church in Sardis write.

These things saith He that has the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars. I know thy works, that thou has a name that thou livest, and are dead. Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are to die. For l have not found thy works perfect before God.”

Many of the churches are either dead or ineffective. They may be making so much noise and they may think they are alive, but our Lord, Jesus Christ says “they are dead.”

The same is true of individuals in their personal relationship with God. 1Corit. 10:12 says “wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he falls’. A person may be thinking he is alive spiritually, but from God’s perspective, the fellow is dead.

You may be thinking you are still standing, when you are already lying flat on the floor.

The greatest need of the hour is revival, both in the Body of Christ and also in the lives of individuals that constitute the Body.

DEFINING REVIVAL

 In Lecture 1, God’s servant has given us extensive and exhaustive definitions of revival. One of the definitions given is found in Acts. 3:19 which says “Repent ye therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.

We can see clearly from this passage that revival is:

 1. A time of refreshing from the presence of the Lord.

2. A time of revitalizing by the Power of the Holy Spirit.

3. A time of quickening by the Power of resurrection – Rom. 8:11

4. A time of Spiritual invigoration.

5. A time of Spiritual rejuvenation.

6. A time of re-energising from above.

7. A time of Newness of life.

8. A time of restoration.

9. A time re-fueling.

10. A time of strengthening the weak in the secret place of the most high. Ps. 91.

CHARACTERISTICS PRECEDING REVIVAL

  1. Loss of Glory or lchabod syndrome — 15am. 4:10-22 Ps. 78:60-61

2. Loss of signals from Heaven. – 1 Sam. 3:1 Amos 8:11

3. Spiritual Dryness-People could no longer do exploits like our fathers in the faith – Paul, Peter and the Apostles and Apostle Ayo Babalola – Acts. 10:44-46. Act 17:6

4. Form of godliness without power— 2Tim. 3:5

5. Loss of favour with God — 15am. 3:19; Lk 2:51-52

6. Open rebellion against God — 1Sam. 2:12-27 wilfully sinning against God is an open rebellion against Him.

7. Spiritual Lukewarmness — Rev. 3:16

8. Loss of first love and zeal for the things of God – Rev. 2:4

9. I Shame and mockery – Ps. 80:6 people will be asking where is your God.

10. Fear of persecution – Jn. 20:19

11. Repentance – 2 Chr. 7:11,

12. Loss of divine protection — Ps. 80:12

13. Stealing from God. — Malachi 3:8-12 thereby giving open invitation to wasters and devourers.

14. Closed Heavens and financial hardship.

15. Self-righteousness – Luke 18:9-14

16. Famine of hearers and doers of the word — Jas 1:22-25,Rom.2:13

17. Hunger and thirst for righteousness.

18. Lack of discernment.

19. Many believers are living in a backsliden condition – 2 Ti 4:10

20. No more signs and wonders – Mk. 16:17-20; Judges 6:13

21. No more Love among the followers of Jesus —Jn.13:34-35

22. Lack of aggressive soul – winning

23. Turning the doctrine of Grace into the doctrine of Balaam – Rev. 2:14

24. These false teachers make Christians who live in sin comfortable.

25. They teach people that Grace covers everything including fornication and adultery. Rom. 6:1-2 says “what shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are deed to sin, live any longer therein?

26. God’s people cry to Him for a time of refreshing – Ps. 80 :18

27. God’s people must re-pent before revival can come- 2Chr. 7:14

28. God’s people must acknowledge their sins and confess their transgressions unto the Lord before revival can come. Ps. 32:5

CHARACTERISTICS OF REVIVAL

1. God’s Presence must be felt in a tangible way – Act. 2:1-4

2. Transfer of Souls from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God – Act. 2:4, 4:4; Col. 1:13

3. Great fear of God rests upon the church – Act. 5:11

4. No more lying to prophets of God. Acts. 5:1-10; 1 Kings.14,:1-18

5. All the gifts of the Holy Spirit will function through His servants especially the gift of discerning of spirits-Act. 8:18-23, Act 13:8-12.

6. Signs, wonders and great miracles are among the major characteristics of every true revival -Act 5:12; Acts. 19:11- 12

7. The world is turned upside down – Act. 17:6

8. There will be an increase in persecution and true disciples of Christ will not be afraid – Act. 4:33 says “Great Grace was upon the Apostle and they preached the gospel with Boldness and with great power.

9. Great and uncommon Anointing characterize every genuine revival.

10. It brings and aggressive approach to Praise and worship – Act. 16:25

11. It brings a new pattern of warfare prayers to pull down the strongholds of the enemy – Acts 4:23-33.

12. People are convicted of their sins Act. 2:37.

13. Restoration holy living and disciplined life 1 Corinth. 9:24-27

14. The God of fire is revealed and manifested in the lives of His servants.

15. The smoldering fire of Love is re-kindled in the hearts of the Brethren. —Rev. 3:2

16. A new wave of great faith in the word and Bible study.

17. Absolute obedience to God.

18. Believers live and walk daily in the miraculous.

19. New spiritual insight and great revelations are received from Heaven – Act 26:13-19

2o. Many are baptized with the Holy Ghost and with fire — Mt.3:11

21. Believers pray without ceasing. Act. 12

22. They break bread and receive Holy Communion regularly – Acts. 2:42.

23. Astounding testimonies -— Rev. 12:11

24. Great concern for the poor and the down trodden – orphans and widows are taken care of.

25. Rededication and commitment to divine assignments corporately and individually -Act. 15:6-35

26. Backsliders are restored.

27. A release of Abraham’s Blessings upon God’s people. Gal.3:13-14

28. A great rejoicing on Earth and in Heaven as a result of aggressive evangelism – Act. 8:8, Lk. 15:10

KEYS TO REVIVAL

1. Burden for revival must be evident in the hearts all true disciples of Christ-individually and corporately.

2. Quality and genuine repentance from the sins of Lukewarmness and backsliding must be made before God.

3. Christians must gather together regularly with one accord and cry unto God to send revival.

4. We must return to our first love — Rev. 2:4.

5. Warn people against the doctrine of Balaam that is being propagated within the church of Christ – Rev. 2:11,

6. Prayer for Mercy must be made without ceasing by the church unto God for the church – Rom. 1:8-9

7. Believers must intercede on behalf of unbelievers to be converted – Gal. 4:19; Col. 1:13.

8. Believers should start calling “those things that be not as though they were’ Rom. 4:17.

IN CONCLUSION: We are presently in last of the last days. The Lord can come back for His elect anytime from now. A large part of the church is in a backsliding state and the whole world is waxing stronger and stronger in wickedness and open rebellion against God. We cannot continue to sit on the fence and believe that all will be well. We must all rise up and cloth ourselves with the New Man in meekness righteousness and holiness and cry unto God collectively and individually to send His Latter Rain and revive us again in the name of Jesus Christ. (Amen). Eph. 4:24; Col. 3:12.

PRAYER POINT: Lord God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, send Your latter rain and revive us again, in the name of Jesus.

BIBLE STUDY – WHAT IS REVIVAL?

MEMORY VERSE: Psalm 85:6: Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?

TEXT: Ezekiel 37

INTRODUCTION: The revival, is seriously needed in the house of God today. The word revival takes its root from two words Re: again, vival = Power. lt is sad to note that most of the present generation has never witnessed the supernatural working power of God. The Bible is a book of Revival. The failure to true revivals today comes from the unrepentant Christians. Dead fish floats and deep calls to deep. It is important to do everything in our capacity to ensure that true revival visits us personally and corporately.

WHAT IS REVIVAL?

Revival is

  1. A ministry of the Holy Spirit

Message:
Something is about to happen that will help many people to possesses their possession. Something is about to happen in your life that will show that Jehovah is God in all your situation.
Raise your hand to heavenlies and say this loud and clear: Any power that wants me to be weak, I bury you now in the name of Jesus!

One major thing that will help you or cancel what you have done (the conclusion of 70 days fasting and prayer) is in this scripture passage. Joel 3:10
There is a mystery about weakness and being down and troubled, that many people don’t understand. There is weakness as a fact. There is also weakness as truth. Weakness as a fact, weakness as truth. This scripture that we have red here is loaded. It is telling us that weakness is not so much a thing of the body, as it is a thing of the mind.
As a matter of fact, you are not defeated until you are defeated in your mind.
The greatest battle is the battle of the mind. If you’re down in bodily terms, and not in the spirit, you’re not down at all.
A knock down is not a knock out as long as the mind is not out.

The truth is this: your language is very important as it is what comes out of your mind. Your mouth has life, your tongue has double barrel power. In Proverbs 18.
Look at this scripture and what it’s saying. We have been praying for 70 days. Death and life, they are in the power of the tongue. There is a power in that tongue that could serve as positive or negative. It could serve as a negative purpose or a positive purpose.

God himself declared that a positive confession after you’ve prayed works. Therefore God admonishes the weak to speak a language of strength instead of a language of weakness or defeat. Once your mouth announces your defeat, you have already been defeated. ‘I don’t think I’ll pass that exam’, ‘I don’t think this or that will work’are negative confessions. Once your mouth begins to say that, you’ve already been defeated.
You know yourselves that everybody knows that you’re weak, why then do you confesses strength? God himself wants you to be confess and declare you’re strong.

God is not pretending or calling man to pretend in the position of weakness but God wants him to be strong.

Lessons learnt from the scripture passage ‘Joel 3:10’:

1. There is strength in every weak man.

2. Strength is permanent but weakness or defeat is temporary.

3. The weakness which a weak man face is a lie.

4. The truth is that he is actually strong.

5. God wants the weak to confess the truth about his strength other than lie about his weakness.

6. Your sense of feeling may not always report the truth.

7. God sees you as strong, not weak. This is why God wants you to say what He himself knows you to be.

As a fact in any trouble, but as a truth in what God says is that ‘let the weak say they are strong’.
What we are saying now is what David did in 1 Samuel 17. When David came, he looked despiteful in the eyes of Goliath but David had something to say in each situation and to any person who confronted him. When his brothers were harassing him, he had something to say to them.
He asked around for the reward that will be given to the person who defeats Goliath. When he also turned to the people, he had something to tell them.
He said ‘who is this uncircumcised philistine that he is despising the armies of the living God’? He was talking to them, he has not fought but he is talking. He has not fought the battle but he knew he has won and he was talking.

All those prayers that you have been praying, you need to start confessing them. It will bring everything to manifestation.

A man remains undefeated until he is defeated in the soul. Don’t start saying negative things that will cancel the prayers you have been praying for 70 days.
You don’t just have to know you’re strong but you should be saying and confessing it.

The message I’m passing across to you now from this Sunday going forward is to stop confessing negative things about your situation. Let not the poor begin to see his poverty, let not the sick make music of his sickness. There is hope and your future is bright and your tomorrow will be better and greater than your today.
Know the truth that God is saying about you today. The facts may not always the sufficient, stand on the truth.

The angels visited Gideon and said ‘greetings to you thou mighty man of valor’. God addressed him by the great potential which will manifest in his (Gideon’s) life.
Your body may be sick right now, x-trays and scans may support that fact. The truth is that Jesus is the healer. That is why our battle is a battle of words. We create our words. That terrible name you’re confessing about your husband or wife is what is manifesting now. We create our own words whether life or death. Our own words are like raw material which we create or kill.

Bottomline: That is why I use to say your mouth is the pilot of your aircraft. Your mouth is the engine room of your life. Your mouth is the driver of your car therefore, a closed mouth is a closed destiny, a negative life a negative destiny, a mouth of strength, a life of strength.

1. My star: you shall not be a victim of spiritual kidnappers in the name of Jesus!

2. The glory of my star, what are you waiting for: arise, shine in the name of Jesus!

3. Dark powers that are angry with my star, whether you like it or not, bow before my star in the name of Jesus!

4. Powers that have vow to drag my glory on the ground, you’re a liar, die in the name of Jesus!

5. Powers saying no one has done it in my lineage’ and resisting my shining, die in the name of Jesus!

SECTION 7 CONFESSIONS

I totally trust in the Lord, and I am not leaning on my own understanding. I fill

heart with the words of faith; I receive and speak the words of faith. The young lion do lack, and suffer hunger; but I who seeks the Lord God Almighty, shall not lack a good thing, in the name of Jesus. God is my strong Rock and my House of defend, in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus Christ, I hand over all my battles to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord fights for me and I hold my peace. The Lord has bow down His righteous ears, to deliver me speedily, in the name of Jesus. I shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory I shall boast myself, and all shall see and shall acknowledge that l am the seed, which the Lord has blessed.

I shall no longer be disappointed, or fail at the edge of my desired miracles, success and victory, in the name of Jesus. It is written: behold, I and the children whom the Lord has given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts which dwelleth in mount Zion. I stand upon this infallible word of God and claim every letter of its promises, in the name of Jesus. I also covenant myself and my household onto the Lord; my fruits, I shall dedicate and surrender to the blessings and pleasures of God who has blessed me and banished my reproach forever, in the name of Jesus. The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and foes, come upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell, in the name of Jesus.

Message:
I am starting a series this morning. This is why you need to be at the service and pay good attention. The series is called ‘Every member, a prophet’ and this is a serious matter. It is a cry from the heart of God that we must as a matter of urgency, that we develop ourselves spiritually. The time to just come to church and just do business as usual is gone. The enemy seems to have changed gear to gear 5. The cry of the heart is who to God that every member would be a prophet and then life will be so easy for Pastors. Somebody cried a cry many years ago and before he cried that cry, so many things happened then.

In Numbers 11:29, this is Moses, every member a prophet, every member a bible student. If we can achieve that, we can change the whole of Africa and our world.
Every member a prophet and every member a bible student. Moses said how wonderful would it be that all God’s people are prophet. You will say well, ‘how can I become one’? That is why this series of teaching is starting now.
One thing that I need to let you know is that spiritual development is no longer a doctrine. It is now very crucial and important. You can’t afford to be a blind bat. You cannot avoid spiritual development. The people in the dark world know what I’m talking about. Those who are not Christians know what I’m talking about. That is why they go into the seas, the sky to seek for powers.

If you were at PMCH yesterday, you will notice this from the testimony of the herbalist woman. Who to God that there is someone here in our midst today, that will cry out that ‘father, set me on fire for you’.
You could be academically developed, but if you’re not spiritually developed, your academic development could be quenched up by power of darkness.

I know a academic professor, who was in his office one day and an illiterate person who is not academically sound at all pointed at him and he went blind instantly. This professor died in that blindness.

Spiritual development is a must. You could be financially developed but if you’re not spiritual developed, it could put your financial life in trouble. When you’re spiritually developed, you will know certain things that needs to be done and some things that don’t need to be come close to at all.
When you’re spiritually developed, there are huge advantages.

G.O narrates a real life incident:
Many years ago, I was driving along the cemetery road. I saw a pastor friend that I know coming out of the cemetery. I asked what did he come there to do? He said they had come to bury a sister in his church who died of malaria and typhoid. I asked how old is she, he said she died at the age of 21 years.
When you’re spiritual, develop yourself.

When you develop spiritually:

1. You will have deep confidence in God.

2. When you developed spiritually, You will stop seeing men as they are in the flesh only. You will see their real nature. What is the sense talking back to someone who is saying something bad at you and you can see in the spirit that there is a large snake in the belly of the person talking? Forget about the painting of your face, or wearing bangles, you’re saying ‘I want to be fine’. Of course, You will be fine but when they deal with you, you will then know that spiritual development is a must. If you’re a business man, spiritual development is utmostly compulsory.

3. When you develop spiritually, You laugh while others are crying because you can see further that them.

4. When you develop spiritually, You escape from pits that has swallowed others. Others may fall in but you will pass through.

5. When you develop spiritually, Your life ceases to become a life of trial and error. When you’re spiritually developed, you won’t just be trying and failing at what you set out to do.

6. When you develop spiritually, You will not be permitted to marry your enemies. Many have married their enemies many many years ago when they themselves were enemies of Christ.

7. When you develop spiritually, You have access to the secrets of God when you’re spiritually developed. One great revival that can come to your life is for God to show you His secrets. Only spiritual revival can cause that. Many times, God is trying to communicate with us, whether you hear or not is another thing entirely.

G.O narrates another real life incident:
A man went to serve in the military. Two years after he went, they didn’t hear from him. His wife kept bringing in different men into the house. Later this man was released from the war and he decided to give his wife a surprise visit. He got to the door of the house, knocked and knocked and when his wife saw him, she was worried simply because she had sin in her camp. The same way so many people cannot open the door for God to come into their lives because they have sin in their camp. You’re a celebrated joker if you think what you’re doing in secret cannot be seen by God. It would be seen and shown to you like a roof top on the last day.

8. When you develop spiritually, You stop struggling with the strugglers and wrestling with the wrestlers. You will know where to go and where to throw your net in the ocean of life. Many are in the university now and studying things that are against their destinies. They are too engraved in the world and in the vanities of it. Let me tell this truth, there is nothing in this world, it’s all vanity upon vanity. They are raw materials for fire. The earlier you seeks spiritual development, the better.

9. When you develop spiritually, You see what others do not see.

10. When you develop spiritually, You get information from heaven. Your information is not from this place, it’s from heaven.

11. When you develop spiritually, You achieve a state of inner peace. The peace of God which passes all understanding.

12. When you develop spiritually, You are able to stay calm and not allow circumstances to affect the state of your mind. You will be calm. You will understand deeply what the Bible means by ‘the battle is not to the strong nor the race is to the swift’. The fact that they said ‘on your mark, get set and go’ and you’re the first to run forward doesn’t mean you will win. You’re able to stay calm and not allow circumstances to affect the state of your mind.

13. When you develop spiritually, You become more patient and tolerant. Patient is one of the greatest side of spiritual maturity. That is how to measure if someone is growing.

14. When you develop spiritually, Your inner strength grows. You will be strong inside.

15. When you develop spiritually, You stop being afraid and you become bold and courageous.

16. When you develop spiritually, You have a great insight into the will of God. You are able to download the mind of God unto the your spirit and know what the Almighty wants you to know.

17. When you develop spiritually, You will have a deeper understanding of your destiny. Moses had sense about destiny but he didn’t have a deeper understanding of it. He (Moses) thought it is by killing the Egyptians. The same Moses that fled from Egypt when he killed an Egyptian, by the time he encountered the burning bush, when he (Moses) went back to Egypt, he was another Moses entirely. The anointing to make you another man, receive it in the name of Jesus!

18. When you develop spiritually, It makes you a person of uncommon faith. Your faith will be uncommon.

19. When you develop spiritually, You remain afloat no matter the raging storms around you.

G.O narrates another real life incident:
A christian brother use to sell salt. One day, there was a heavy rainfall. His shop was in a place where normally, flood doesn’t come there. The rain flooded the shop and washed all the salts with water. He was a giver in church and when his pastor heard about the incident, he was very sad. The pastor went to his house to great him and console him about it. Upon getting to this brothers house, the pastor was shocked and almost fainted when he saw him dancing and singing. He asked his pastor why he was feeling sad. The pastor told him that he was sad about the unfortunate incident that happened to the business in his shop. This brother told his pastor that greater business opportunity will about and few months later, this brothers business was divinely restored and he was doing very well again. Only a person who is spiritually developed can operate at that level.

20. Spiritual development will ensure you win the war before the war even start. Read your Bible very well. The philistines come to battle with all kinds of gods. The philistine cursed David by his God. The battle of word started. David started the battles and won the battle with words.

Bottomline: ‘Every member a prophet’, I’m going to stop here. Next time, I’m going to talk to you about the principles and how your spiritual eyes can be opened. There is no place in the Bible that says it’s only pastors that suppose to have prophetic dreams and vision. There is one gift of the spirit that the Bible said it is free for all, ‘it is the gift of prophecy’.

Beloveth, try and understand. All of us have two sets of eyes, there is the physical eyes and spiritual eyes. Those spiritual eyes are meant to see in the spirit. This is where the problem starts, the physical eyes are opened, while the spiritual eyes are closed. Because when the first Adam died, those spiritual eyes died. The outside eyes is fine but the spiritual eyes is dead. You can understand what David meant when he said ‘Open my eyes oh Lord’. When the psalmist spoke, he wasn’t talking about the phish cal eyes, he meant the inner eyes. It is the kind of eyes that blind baltimeous had, that if I will not allow this man go without receiving my healing. To many people, the inner eyes have been permanently blind. That is why some women will marry the wrong husband, chose the wrong career e.t.c.

13. My spiritual eyes, hear the word of the Lord: Ephatha in the name of Jesus!

Message:
Listen carefully to what we need to battle here this morning which concerns everybody. One terrible thing about life is for you to be ignorant about your own ignorance, such a person is really to be pitied. Another tragedy of life is for those who think they are very smart but really, they are not very wise; the mystery of stagnancy. There is a purpose for this message and that purpose is for you to receive an injection of divine acceleration. A man may think he is moving forward or he may think he is making progress but as far as God is concerned, he or she has been stagnant for ten years. Listen beloveth, each of us is created to be committed to something and God has deposited in our lives certain talent, knowledge, abilities, and plenty of gifts. Every one of us have committed these gift to some selected end. It could be your degrees, it could be talent, could be time; it could be used whether thoughtfully or thoughtlessly, whether righteously or unrighteously. Your gift could either be beauty or the gift of singing, you are either using it thoughtfully or thoughtlessly, whether legitimately or illegitimately, whether consciously or unconsciously. The way we spent our time, the way we spend our money is an eloquent testimony to what we are really committed to.

G.O narrates a real life incident:
A woman had cars, money and everything anyone would think of. She had a dream about rapture, she say people flying, taking off but she wasn’t. As she tried jump, she fell. She was thinking and pondering what happened and why she wasn’t raptured. Suddenly the Lord opened her eyes and she saw 24 staircase, and she saw herself found on staircase number 3. She was stagnant there. She saw a report card from heaven which denote her progress at 22% in the dream.

There are five facts about lives that you must know:

1. You are a unique and unrepeatable creation. Meaning that you were created for an assignment. If you’re not on that assignment and you are doing it sluggishly, no matter how much money you have, as far as God is concerned, you’re stagnant.

2. Your life can be what you want it to be.

3. Your presence in this world is actually a presence to the world.

4. Your greatest enemy is not an outsider, your greatest enemy is not the devil, your greatest enemy is you.

5. Stagnation is the father of decay. If a person does not depart from the school of stagnancy, he or she retreats into the school of decay.

What does it means to be stagnant?
– It means to be slow

– To become foolish

– To cease to be active

– To become dull or inactive

– It means to deteriorate

– It means to constipate

– To stand still. It is not good to be stagnant.

– it is a process of dryness

– It is a process of emptiness

– A process of lack of foresight.

– It means lack of creative drive.

This is what is called stagnation and there are many categories of stagnancy. The Bible says ‘going from strength to strength and glory to glory’. If you are not going from strength to strength, power to power, you are defined as being stagnant.

Categories of stagnancy:
1. There is general stagnancy. Every thing about the person is not moving. I command the curse of God upon any blockage upon the lives of anyone in the name of Jesus! Let the blockage be evacuated in the name of Jesus. I command the curse of God upon any power blocking the life of anyone in the name of Jesus! There is a general stagnancy.

2. There is a specific stagnancy. Such a person may be doing well academically, career but zero spiritually or character wise.

3. There is partial stagnancy.

4. There is selective stagnancy.

5. There is spiritual stagnancy meaning the person is not moving and he or she is still where he or she is four years ago. The mystery of spiritual stagnancy is that you will still be talking and preaching but the person is stagnant.

6. There is career stagnancy. Marriage, the person will be doing well but a failure in career. There will seem to be a spirit that will come and say ‘not so’. Those powers saying ‘not so’ to the voice of your elevation, I command them to die in the name of Jesus!

7. There is financial stagnancy.

8. There is enlargement stagnancy.

9. There is destiny stagnancy.

10. There is relationship stagnancy.

11. There is glory stagnancy.

12. There is star stagnancy.

The mystery is that many are in this university of stagnancy and they don’t know. Life is dynamic but a small thing can introduce a break which will lead to stagnancy. If God should open the eyes of many to see where they suppose to be, many will break down and cry. The level you are now is just a pause, a comma, the best is yet to come. Like the woman who saw 24 stair cases in the dream and she was on number three. Though she travels overseas and she had money and cars, She saw that she was stagnant spiritually and was not moving forward.

There is a spirit known as a spirit of stagnation. It keeps people frozen on one spot, and no visible progress of any kind. We are created and commanded to increase, move forward and possess and multiply the earth. Peaceful stagnation is not from God.
If you’re here:

– you stay with a job or practice long after it is become a challenge, the arrow of stagnancy is inside.

– You are frequently getting sick and sick, it is an arrow of stagnation.

– You are frequently having accident, it is an arrow of stagnation.

– You are fond of delaying things or doing things so badly until someone is called to do it well, it is an arrow of stagnancy.

– You are very good when thinking and planning well but in reality, you can do nothing, it is an arrow of stagnancy.

– You are fond blaming everybody for a particular fault and find it difficult to point at your self, it is an arrow of stagnancy.

– Lack of organization, arrow of stagnancy.

– Lack of vision, arrow of stagnancy.

– Lack of insight, arrow of stagnancy.

– Not knowing that it is fresh insight that can bring you out of obscurity to relevance, arrow of stagnancy.

– Lack of godly counsel, arrow of stagnancy.

Stagnation can actually be a demonic attack, in that case you need to fight. The enemy could keep you in a shell of darkness or internal suppressor.

– You have vagabond spirit and resistant to change, it is an arrow of stagnancy.

Bottomline: Today is a day to wage war against this horrible spirit. The only thing some people need to move ahead is for the Almighty to increase their speed, it is for the Almighty to give them the injection of acceleration and for heaven to increase their speed. You will overtake those that are heard of you in the name of Jesus! You will overtake those that are more connected than you, you will overtake your superiors in the name of Jesus.
No matter how long it takes, your life will surprise your friends and shock your enemies in the name of Jesus!

Keys to defeating the mystery of stagnancy:
1. Get born again. That is not negotiable.

2. Never think or speak negatively about yourself because that puts you in disagreement with God.

3. Have a divine encounter with God. Make sure you meet God.

4. Let the flesh die, don’t let flesh control your life.

5. Be filled with the Holy Ghost. Be topping up the anointing of the Holy Spirit upon your life.

6. Be a prayer addict. Pray in the morning, noon and evening.

7. Be a bible addict. Be a man or woman of the word of God. Memorize and meditate on it. Go to bible study, go to Sunday school. Be a lover of the word of God.

8. Engage in purposeful fasting.

9. Learn how to wrestle in prayer.

10. Memorize and meditate on scriptures.

11. Do not compare yourself to anybody else. You’re unique and one of a kind. Don’t settle for or be a photocopy. The fact that someone starts something earlier than you does not mean that he will do better than you. The battle is not for the strong nor for the swift.

12. Focus on your potentials and not your limitations.

13. Be a God pleasers and not a people pleasers. Someone who is coming out of the coven should not be dictating to you how to dress.

14. Learn how to take good criticism. Let it develop you and not discourage you. If someone criticize you, study what has been said, correct what you are doing wrong.

15. Be persistent and never give up. They say winners don’t quit and quitters do not win.

16. Choose the right relationship. If you must have friends, have good friends. Not party friends or the one who can’t pray.

17. Discover you destiny. The earlier it is discovered, the better.

18. Conquer your fears. Don’t allow fears to control your destiny.

19. Go out of your way to be a blessing to others. The people mostly blessed in the scriptures were people who went out of their way to be a blessing to others. Sometimes they have not fed themselves well and they go out to be a blessing to others.

20. Be broken and be humble.

21. If you have not completed your deliverance, go and complete it. If you leave a place in your life unaddressed, there will be an access ladder to it by the enemy.

Tell the Lord to remove anything keeping stagnancy in your life in the name of Jesus!

SECTION 6 CONFESSIONS

I trample under my feet, every serpent of treachery, evil reports, accusations,machinations and criticisms, in the name of Jesus. In the time of trouble, the Lord my God and my Father shall hide me in His pavilion; in the secret places of His tabernacle shall He hide me. With an overrunning flood, will the Lord make an utter end of my enemy’s habitation, in the name of Jesus. The Lord has sent fear and the dread of me upon all my enemies, that the report or information of me shall cause them to fear, tremble and be in anguish, in the name of Jesus. I am of good cheer, and I believe in the sanctity and infalliblllty of God’s Word, in the name of Jesus. According to this time, it shall be said of me and my family, what God has done, in the name of Jesus. I therefore command all enemy troops arrayed against me to scatter, as I call down the thunder fire of God upon them, in the name of Jesus.

May the Lord God to whom vengeance belongs pelt their rank, files and strongholds with His stones of fire, in the name of Jesus. I raise a dangerous high standard of the flood of the blood of Jesus against their re-enforcement, and I command all the encamped and advancing enemy troops to be roasted by fire, in the name of Jesus. l possess the gate of my enemies and with the blood of Jesus,I render their habitation desolate, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

7. O God, arise, cast Your fury upon agents of affliction troubling my star, in Jesus’ name.

8. Candle of the wicked, I put you out, quench, in the name of Jesus.

9. All information, stored in the caldron against me, catch fire, in Jesus’ name.

10. I release, panic and havoc upon any gathering summoned to disgrace me, in Jesus’ name.

11. I release confusion and backwardness upon every satanic programmer attacking my star, in the name of Jesus.

12.  Every cage, formed to imprison my star, l smash you, in Jesus’ name.

13. I release, the ten plagues of Egypt upon every coven tormenting my existence in the name of Jesus.

14. O Lord, make the devices of my adversaries of none effect, in Jesus‘ name.

15. Evil, shall slay the wicked and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate in the name of Jesus.

16. Father, fight against them that fight against me, in the name of Jesus.

17. Father, take hold of shield and buckler and stand up for my help, in the name of Jesus.

18. Father, draw out Your spear and stop my persecutors, in Jesus name.

19. O Lord, let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul, in the name of Jesus.

20. O Lord, let them be turned back and brought to confusion that device my hurt, in the name of Jesus.

21. O Lord, let the wicked be as chaff before the wind, and let the anger of the Lord chase them, in the name of Jesus.

  19. Lord, let the blood of Jesus wipe away wicked accusations from my body,the name of Jesus.
  1. Lord, let the wicked elders in my family turn against themselves, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Lord, let the teeth of the enemy over my life break, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Father Lord, let every covenant with the earth against my life be broken in the name of Jesus.
  4. Father, let every covenant with the sun, moon, and stars against my life, be broken, in the name of Jesus.
  5. Covenant with the water against my life, break, in the name of Jesus.
  6. Everyone who has accepted witchcraft for my sake, be disgraced by your witchcraft, in the name of Jesus.
