Topic: THE SCHOOL OF HOLY INSANITY.
Text: Acts 17:6, John 10:20, Acts 26:24-25, Acts 13:6-12

We are having a prayer meeting today and the prayer meeting is to attend to ten (10) different things. When those prayers start, you will understand. When the time comes to pray, I want you to pray according to the spirit of the short message that I am going to give now. One thing is certain: as many as would participate in this prayer meeting, they will have uncommon testimonies.

When the time comes, forget any problem that you have. Concentrate on the power of the Man of Galilee who said “with man, this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible”.

And from the testimonies we have been picking up here which are actually about 1% of the testimonies we receive every time – that God of testimonies is going to meet you here at the point of your needs in the name of Jesus.

Listen very carefully. The kind of insanity that blind Bartimaeus exhibited, that Jesus looked him straight in the eye and said “thy faith has made thee whole”, that is: the temporary insanity you showed now, not caring those saying ‘shut up, you are disturbing us’, and when you saw that your garment was disturbing you, you threw it away, and you kept screaming until your screaming, and prayers you were praying were heard; is needed today.

Blind Bartimaeus was not saying his prayers, he was crying them. Sometimes a man gets to a stage where saying prayers is no longer relevant. It requires crying them. Anytime those prayers are cried, there is a regulation in heaven that God will never ignore a desperate cry from the heart. That is why I know that there is somebody here today:

===> as you roar in desperate prayers, what has been stolen from you from your mother’s womb shall be restored seven-fold in the name of Jesus.

===> all those dream poisons (where they poison you in the dream and you do not remember anything) will jump out of you and locate the senders, in the name of Jesus.
===> as you roar in desperate prayers, those powers that have been laying claim to your life will have to let go, in the name of Jesus.

Many times during deliverance and on deliverance grounds, we hear one common sentence from demonic spirits. That common sentence from their mouths is: he or she belongs to me. When we argue back saying “no, she does not belong to you. She has surrendered her life to Jesus”, the next sentence is “were you there when they handed her over to us?”

We answer “we were not there. But Jesus has defeated principalities and powers. He has set the captives free. We are not arguing with you about whether we were there or not. We do not even have to be there, but there is a Man who sets the captives free and it is in the name of that Man you must release this person”.

===> as you roar in desperate prayers today, those unconscious powers you do not know about but are laying claims upon your life, shall let go in the name of Jesus.

===> as you roar in desperate prayers, all those circular problems shall go back to their senders in the name of Jesus.

But there is a school you have to enrol in. It is the school of holy insanity, the kind of school Bartimaeus enrolled in. The testimony of the apostles is that the apostles were described as men who turned their world upside down. That is, they were like mad people. To the people of the world, they looked crazy. That was their testimony, that wherever they entered, there was holy trouble. They were holy trouble makers harassing demons, tormenting long term problems, putting to shame stubborn pursuers, causing serious uproar.

“These men who have turned the world upside down”. That was the description of our forefathers. I am not too sure about whether we can be described as such because there are many of us who have not even turned themselves upside down, let alone turn others upside down. That is why you must enrol in that school. Was it only the apostles who were accused like this? No. They also said Jesus was possessed. So even the Lord Jesus Christ whom we serve was referred to as a mad man, because what He was saying did not sound normal.

It is because many Christians are normal, that is why we are having the problems we are having now, both nationally and internationally. We are not supposed to be normal. They told Jesus “you are a mad man”.

What about Paul? He was accused before the king and was asked to defend himself. But what happened? The king said “Paul, you are mad!” There is a group of people whom the world finds strange but heaven respects them. This group of people are able to identify the ways and mysterious workings of God.

Heaven has an expectation for everyone to live in its divine plan. When you live in that divine plan of heaven, definitely you will live outside the expectations of this world and the people of the world will find you strange and see you as a mad person. The record about the apostles was that they were men who had turned the world upside down for Christ. This should be the kind of accusation they should be accusing each of us, that as Christians we are turning the world upside down.

Let me be honest with you: you only need to read the newspapers or hear the news to know that it is becoming crystal clear that ice-cream prayers and Christians, fire-less prayers, slumbering prayers will not get us anywhere now.

Many Christians are catching the message now and running back to the altar of prayers. There are churches who never used to pray, but as we speak, that is where they sell most MFM prayer books.

When they see MFM prayer books, they rush to get them. But they were not always really praying until the enemy taught them one or two lessons here and there. There is plenty of restlessness and pressure around now. Many true christians are restless. They are agitated inside. Things cannot go on like this. We cannot just be observing the enemy doing what they want, when the Bible says “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

He says He has given us the power. Why are we not using it? Unfortunately like I always say, there is no gentle way of addressing evil. Every method to arrest anything evil is violent. There is no gentle way to clean a septic tank.

Things are happening now that are very bad. In many cases, the judge is becoming the accused. The doctor is becoming the patient. The teachers are becoming the students. Criminals are controlling people. They do all kinds of things.

If we sit down as believers and watch the serpents of the magicians and we do not take action against those serpents, they will deal with us. You do not sit down and watch the serpents of the magicians. If you watch their serpents, they will bite you. You heard the testimony of that lady: a cobra inside a city, no forest, no bush, all doors locked and yet it appeared there.

Can you raise up your right hand and with a voice that roars with holy madness, shout this louder than the person beside you:

1. Serpents of darkness assigned against my life, die in the name of Jesus.
2. Powers that hate my existence, before I leave this place, die in the name of Jesus.
3. I decree that the arrow of general blockage fired against you has gone back to the senders, in the name of Jesus.

We need to start speaking words in our places of work so that they will know that they can mess around with other people but not you. That God will not allow you to be messed around with. Let us look a little bit at the testimony of one man who was in that school of holy insanity; so that you can understand what we are talking about. Let me also explain to you that in case you have been taught wrongly in your church that the man we are going to read about here wrote only that book of Corinthians about love, it is not so.

Paul commanded blindness upon that sorcerer Elymas for a season. Here was a child of the devil trying to disturb the work of God. Paul looked at him and identified him straightaway saying “you are a child of the devil. You are an enemy of righteousness”. Before Paul could begin to say those things to that man, he had seen him spiritually. He knew the demons that were speaking through him. He could discern the spirit within the man. He did not try to sing praises. He did not try to witness to the man.

He did not turn the other cheek. He quickly identified and located the enemy. Then he exercised the power and authority delegated to him from heaven. He tried the spirit there and found out it was an evil spirit. He treated it like a devil. We need this same power of God to be demonstrated in our lives these days. The Bible said the deputy was astonished, amazed, surprised, confounded. We need to confound our enemies. We need to surprise them. We need to amaze them with the demonstration of the power of God in our lives.

We must astonish God’s enemies. We need more than clapping and stamping our feet and jumping up. We need more than bringing comedians to church. We need to speak with such power and authority and demonstration of the spirit that people will be shocked. The Bible says the man was astonished at the doctrine of the Lord. Paul did not say he wanted to show “shege”, he went to fight. We need to show more fire than in the days of Paul the apostle.

Whether pastor or minister or whoever you are, if in this generation you do not collect fresh fire and power, you will be wasted by the powers that are around now. This is why I am praying for all who are listening to me here this morning:
===> by the spirit of the prophets, by the power that divided the Red Sea, by the power that disgraced Goliath, receive the power that cannot be insulted, in the name of Jesus!

The Almighty is the president, vice chancellor and principal of the school of holy insanity. He was the One who made Isaac to be conceived when the mother was 90 years old and father 100 years old. It makes no sense. It is madness. It was Him who made the burning bush that was not consumed. It makes no sense. He divided the Red Sea and water was standing as walls and people were passing through it. He ran three million people through that. It makes no sense.

He was the One who kept Jonah in the belly of that fish for three days, and it vomited him back to the place where he should be and nothing happened to Jonah.

How can you explain somebody being thrown into a lions’ den and the lions did not touch him? And then when they threw other people in, the lions just ate them straight up? It makes no sense.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego thrown into the fiery furnace and the men who threw them there burnt to death while these men were walking about in the fire? It makes no sense.

Baalam’s donkey started speaking; a donkey verbally rebuked Baalam for wrongfully beating him? It makes no sense.

The sun and moon stood still for Joshua to continue the battle.

Jesus healed the man by spitting in his eyes.

God picked men to fight in Gideon’s battle just by the way they lapped up water.

The wall of Jericho falling down by just blowing trumpets round the city seven times? Makes no sense. It is the kind of thing you will be told to do and will say “ah this makes no sense. It looks like madness”.

Jesus too exhibited symptoms of holy insanity. They called Jesus a mad man because He was not saying the things that are normal. The truth is that in the spirit realm, there is no normalcy. Things are not the way we see them here, in the spirit realm.

Do you desire to operate like Jesus did? Do you want to flow generally in the spirit of His power? Then, if you have not been called a fanatic, or an unreasonable person, it is unlikely that you are like Jesus. Paul was also addressed as a mad man.

Jesus was saying what was not normal. They said “do not do any work on the Sabbath day” but He was busy healing people on the sabbath. “Do not eat with sinners”, He was eating with sinners. Even the demons acknowledged Jesus. Although theologians rejected Him, the demons accepted that He was the Son of God. Jesus spoke to water, trees, demons, dead bodies, fever, sicknesses. A sign of holy madness. Jesus was the person who saw His family and said “they are not my family, my family is those who do the will of God”.

Jesus used saliva for healing. He walked across the Sea. Even His friends did not see Him as somebody who was normal. He was acknowledged by demons as well. He spoke to storms and was always doing things out of the ordinary. By the logic of men, the activities of the old prophets will not make sense to people. Elijah called down fire. He also called down water. This is strange. Very strange. But he was able to demonstrate the power of God in his own time.

What I am saying is this, which is going to be part of the strongest prayers we will be praying here this morning, your words should become the sword of fire so that when you start speaking them, demons will begin to flee. If you walk according to God’s plan, you will take steps that will make people think you are mad. That is why in the history of the world, many of the great men were misunderstood by their generations. All the men who made impact in scriptures were members of the school of holy insanity.

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were mad men. They refused to bow to that image even at the point of brutal destruction. They said they preferred to burn than to bow. A little bit of holy insanity is needed to make any progress even in life. Whether it is a race, exam, competition, in this world we live in now, unless we are able to catch serious fire and show some holy insanity, it will be difficult to make headway with the bombardment of demons of this generation.

Believers nowadays are so scared. They are afraid, some are hiding their Bibles, some enter a vehicle and are afraid to pray, they are asked to shut up and they shut up very quickly instead of praying. You need to join that band of holy insanity. So three things needed this morning:
1. Surrender your life to Jesus.
2. Repent of every known sin.
3. Join the company of holy mad people.

===> This is why I am prophesying upon somebody here that your enemies shall make mistakes that will destroy them and that will advance your cause in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER POINTS.
1. Power that cannot be disgraced, fall upon me now, in the name of Jesus.
2. Angels of war arise, pursue my pursuers, in the name of Jesus.
3. Holy Ghost fire, destroy the engine room of my enemies, in the name of Jesus.
4. Arrows assigned to kill my speed, backfire in the name of Jesus.
5. Battles of evil family pattern, die in the name of Jesus.
6. Battles assigned to recreate me for suffering, you are liars, die in the name of Jesus.
7. Battles assigned to make me cry, you are liars, die in the name of Jesus.
8. Battles pushing me to the wrong people, you are liars, die in the name of Jesus.
9. My prayers, become fire, in the name of Jesus.
10. Witchcraft powers in my environment, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
11. (Shout your name loud and clear), hear the word of the Lord, arise and shine, in the name of Jesus.
