Topic: CONNECTING TO THE MIRACLE-WORKING POWER OF GOD (3)
Text: Jeremiah 32:17; Matthew 19:26

I am sure there will be somebody here this morning who will say “My Father, register my name for miracles here today”. If you are that person, shout a loud hallelujah!

Jeremiah 32:17 (KJV) says: “Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:”

It is from this scripture that we get the song:

Ah, Lord God, thou hast made the heavens and the earth by thy great power,
Ah, Lord God, thou hast made the heavens and the earth by thy outstretched arm,
Nothing is too difficult for thee
Nothing is too difficult for thee,
Great and mighty God, great in counsel, Mighty in deed, mighty indeed,
Nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing—nothing is too difficult for thee.

Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh.
Is there anything too hard for me?
Is there anything, anything, anything,
Too hard for me?
Is there anything, anything,
Too hard for me?

Matthew 19:26 (KJV) also says: But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

God is the God of miracles. And in our past teaching, we understand miracles to be events beyond the power of any human occurrence, a supernatural occurrence produced by the power of God, and that miracles work opposite to human logic. And so, if miracles work opposite to human logic, when you come believing God for a miracle, expect the unexpected to happen to you.

The Bible makes us understand that God is still in the business of working miracles. And like I said last time, unfortunately, many human beings do not want to agree that their brains have limitations.

Once our brains tell us certain things are not possible, we tend to think that they are not possible. But the Bible says, “With men, this is impossible; but with God, all things are possible.” And I began to explain to you why God works miracles.

He works miracles:
-to punish His enemies, like He did with Sodom and Gomorrah.
– to discipline disobedient people.
– To deliver His people from their enemies.
– to fight for His people.
– to confirm His word.
– to demonstrate His power
– to convince unbelievers. The Bible says that Philip landed in Samaria, and he began to work signs and wonders, and there was much joy in the city.
– to show His approval.
– to keep His promises.
– to present Himself as the God of providence.
– to show that no power can overshadow His power.

Therefore, everyone here today has a reason for asking for, and collecting miracles from God, and God has His own reasons for doing them too. Can you raise up your right hand and decree loud and clear:

🔥 I connect my life to the wonder-working power of God! (Shout it three times.)

I was eight years old when I saw my first miracle. It was at a field in the current stadium in Akure Town. There was no stadium there at the time; it was just a field belonging to a school. This man of God known as T. A. Iyanda came with a crusade to town, and he was using that place. I came with my parents, but I did not sit where they sat. I was looking for somebody who was sick because the man said that there would be healings, miracles, and the rest. Eventually, I found someone at the back of the crusade ground. He came with one okay leg, and the other leg was one third the length of the okay leg.

He had to put that bad leg around a stick. So he was walking and supporting it with a stick. So I sat beside the man to see what would happen. After a short message about salvation, the pastor began to pray for the sick. I was still watching the sick man and found out that nothing had happened to him. But this man of God had special ushers who went about on the crusade ground. Very soon, these ushers got to this man and then asked him, “Do you believe God can make you whole?” The man replied “Yes, that is why I am here”. They then said “Drop that stick and run in the name of Jesus”.

This man dropped the stick right at my feet and ran. I was just looking at him. He ran to the front and back so many times that he had to be stopped from running. By the time he would come back to his seat, I could not differentiate between the bad leg and the good leg. It was my first time seeing a miracle. Since that time, I have seen so many more.

🔥 That is why I know that there will be somebody here today whose life will connect to the miracle-working power of God! in the name of Jesus.

🔥 I connect my life to the miracle-working power of God by the power in the blood of Jesus!

You see, beloveth, God is His own interpreter. No one can interpret God. Any attempt by any preacher to interpret God is an understatement concerning the greatness of our God.

All our songs of praise and expressions about how great our God is will fade into insignificance if we really know how great He is. God is an awesome God, which means people have searched and tried, but they really cannot fathom Him. They cannot measure Him. He is so awesome. God is self-sufficient. He needs nothing from anybody. He was not elected or appointed. No kingmaker brought Him a crown to make Him a king.

But He is the King who makes other kings. He is the King before whom all other kings must bow. You cannot add anything to Him, and you cannot deduct anything from Him. He is the Almighty. He is mighty to save, heal, promote, and deliver; mighty to make a person a wife or a husband; mighty to make a person a mother or a father; mighty to change your name from Abram to Abraham; mighty to put an end to the captivity of the enemy; mighty to blow away every limitation limiting you; everything you need is inside that God. That is why, if you have not found God, you have found nothing.

You can find a degree. You can find a church. You can find an association. But if you have not found God, you have found nothing. This world is a deep and strange place.

This woman had three children abroad. All of a sudden, she received a call that she was needed at the airport. She asked why and was told that her son was arriving. This son was on a PhD programme. All of a sudden, he abandoned it, took the next available flight, and came back home for no reason at all.

🔥 I am praying for somebody here: any evil voice summoning you from your place of celebration to a place of disgrace shall be buried alive today! in the name of Jesus.

An evil voice had summoned him back home when it remained six months for him to complete the PhD. In tears, the mother went to wait at the airport, believing that she was there to welcome one child. But strangely, as she was welcoming the one that came from PhD, the other two had arrived with different airlines. So all three boys were back home with no degree or anything. No wonder the Psalmist prayed “Let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end”.

🔥 I am praying for somebody here that the wickedness of the wicked against your life shall expire! in the name of Jesus. (A sevenfold amen.)

So all three boys were back in the car, and in tears, she was taking them back to Ibadan, where she came from. She drove past the prayer city, and as she was going away, she heard the voice of the Holy Spirit, who said, “Daughter, you are taking them to Ibadan. What is the solution?” She said, “Lord, I do not know”. The Holy Spirit said “You have just driven past the place where there is a solution”. There was another camp, by the way, and she asked “Lord, is it this one?” and He said “No, you have driven past”. She complained that it was already late, and the Holy Spirit kept telling her that she had passed the place that she needed and that she should go back.

That was when she turned back, drove right to the gate of prayer city, and the Lord said, “Enter here. That is the place”. And she met a programme on. And there was a word of knowledge from that programme that said, “There is a woman here. The enemy had perfected every plan to make you naked. But now, the arrow has backfired”. She shouted “amen”. Then things turned around again. The man with an unfinished PhD turned to her and asked, “Mummy, how did I get here?” She said “But you flew in”. He said, “But no, I am supposed to be in the USA doing my PhD. How did I arrive here?”

The second one turned to her and asked, “Mummy, am I dreaming? Are you real?” and started touching her. She said “Yes, you are in Nigeria”. He asked, “But how did I get here?” That is how all three received the touch of God, and the impossible became possible, and all three went back again and completed their degrees. Can you raise your right hand and shout:

🔥 Powers assigned to make me naked, you are liars, die! in the name of Jesus.

We are going to start praying very soon that that miracle power of God will be manifesting in our lives.

Somebody gave me a bullet-proof limousine car. I had never seen one before. It was just brought to Nigeria. It is there. I have never even entered there. The car is like a bedroom. Let me tell you what happened. There was a woman seeking the fruit of the womb, but her husband was a diplomat somewhere abroad. So after a while, she got pregnant. The first time she got a scan, it was in an Asian country, and she found the person doing the scan looking confused.

Then the person dropped the scanning machine, ran out, and called in other people to come. So they came in, were scanning, and got confused. The hospital was in a state of chaos. Then they brought in the chief medical director of the hospital. He, too, came in and was looking confused. Then the woman turned to the man and asked, “Excuse me, what is going on? Why is everyone looking confused and running helter-skelter?” He replied to her and said, “Madam, we have never seen this before. According to this scan, this baby has no head”.

The woman broke down and started to cry. Then he said, “We need to evacuate this baby immediately! We cannot let you go; we have to evacuate it”. The woman said, “No, let me go home and tell my husband what has happened. We shall come back tomorrow.” They said “Your life is at risk, madam”. She replied “Don’t worry, let me see my husband first”. So she got home and told her husband, and they started calling my phone. Eventually, they got through to me. I asked what the problem was, and they told me. I said, “miracle baby has no head? Not possible. Get a bottle of water.”

I prayed over it and told her to drink it. She drank it, and I told her to go back to the hospital the next day. So they went back to the hospital. They said “Madam, as is our procedure in this hospital, before we do the surgery, we have to carry out a scan again”. They started, and the same thing that happened the next day happened again: the person rushed out and called other people, and they came in too again and everywhere was in chaos. Then they brought in the chief medical director again, and she asked him again, “Why are you all running about confused?” He said, “Madam, we do not know what has happened, but this baby now has a head. So we are not going to evacuate again. You can go home, ma”.

I did not know that the husband had made a vow before God and said that if his wife went and came back and the baby was okay, he would buy a bullet-proof limousine car and send it to me. I even tried selling it, but nobody wanted to buy it.

===> I am praying for you that the miracle-working power of God will arise for your sake! in the name of Jesus. (a sevenfold amen).

So when you call upon that miracle-working power of God, you are calling upon Him whose power:
– is unchallengeable.
– Is beyond the calculation of any arithmetic.
– cannot be subjected to experimental analysis.
– has no respect for geographical distance or location.
– has no respect for how far the enemy has travelled. He will catch up in one day.
– renders diviners mad, that any witch doctor that has concentrated on your case shall be rendered mad by His divine power.
– is the creative power.

I have shared this with you before. It was when MFM started at Old Yaba Road. A woman joined us. She was a prostitute before joining us. When she was a prostitute, she developed cancer of the womb, so a surgery was done and her womb was removed. So she joined us and decided that she would use the rest of her life to serve God and not marry again. So she started coming to church. All of a sudden, one day, one brother walked up to her and said “God said you are my wife”. She refused to answer the brother, but he kept pestering her. Then one day she decided to call the brother.

She said “Let me confide in you: Go and look for another woman; there is no womb”. The brother said “Well, God did not tell me whether there is a womb or not; He just said that you are my wife”. Eventually, they got married in this church. It was the pregnancy of this woman that converted the surgeon who did the surgery, because when she got pregnant and she was heavy with child, and the surgeon saw her, he kept saying “no no, no. I removed the womb. It is not possible.” That surgeon had left God out of the calculation. He had forgotten that there is an overruling voice above all voices.

After all other voices have spoken, whether that of a surgeon or an expert, the Voice that has an overruling power that silences other voices now speaks. The doctor did not take that into consideration. That was exactly what happened. So in the eyes of the doctor and in the eyes of man, that was practically impossible. Again, he did not realise Matthew 19:26, which says, “With men, this is impossible; but with God, all things are possible.”

PRAYER POINTS.
(Talk to the Lord about your innermost desire for His intervention. Pray like Hannah did.)
1. Where is the Lord God of Elijah? Arise, let my story change! in the name of Jesus.
2. O God, arise, move me from mockery to miracles! in the name of Jesus.
3. Raging anger of God, arrest every darkness around me! in the name of Jesus.
4. O God, arise, sweep away every power fighting my glory! in the name of Jesus.
5. Power of God, catapult me above my mockers! in the name of Jesus.
God of signs and wonders, my life is available. Manifest your power! in the name of Jesus.
