Topic: CONNECTING TO THE GOD OF TURN AROUND
Text: 1 Samuel 2:8, Psalm 75:7-8, Luke 4:18-19

So I am here this evening to announce to you that it is time to change position from where God wants you to be. It is time for God to push you to a place where people will begin to envy you. It is more glorious to be envied than to be pitied. And that will be your story in the name of Jesus.

God raises from one extreme to the other. He life up the poor and makes Him a Prince. He lifts up the beggar out of the dunghill to the throne.

🔥 Anything that must be put down for you to rise, God shall put them down, in the name of Jesus!

Listen carefully to these seven very important statements.
1. The change that will move your life forward is not a plastic change, but a change from the inside. Many of what we need most is an internal deliverance.
2. You can turn your life around. God has given you some level of capacity and the choice now belongs to you.
3. When you get to the top, then you become a topic. And that will be your lot, in the name of Jesus.
4. Any man or woman who is comfortable in Egypt will never get to the Promised Land. It is time you became uncomfortable with the level you are now. You must not be comfortable with this level at all.
5. You can move from negativity to positivity. And that is why Jesus has redeemed us with His blood. You can.
6. The Bible is a book of turn around. I can simply call the Bible a turn around book.
7. The Almighty God is a God of turn around.
🔥 And I pray that you will connect to that God here tonight, in the name of Jesus.

The Bible is full of turn around stories. When you begin to look at it from Genesis and you begin to see the kind of men and women that are labelled therein, the first thing you notice is that those men got into a lot of trouble but as they were getting into that trouble, God was bringing them out. The Bible is full of positive turn around stories. “He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes”. A complete turnaround.

There are people sitting here tonight, if they just conserved the wealth that God has given to them so far, they will be one of the richest people around. There are people here tonight that if this message could be clear in their spirit man and they can pray like a wounded lion, they will move from where they are to the level where they will be a blessing to their generation. Abraham’s story was the story of turnaround. He was an unknown idol worshipper in Ur of the Chaldees. This unknown idol worshipper now underwent a turnaround and became a worshipper of the true God.

So those who knew Abraham before and seeing him later would wonder if he was the same person. A complete turnaround had happened. For David, the Bible did not even bother to tell us who his mother was. Maybe the mother was even a girlfriend. The father did not even consider him as one of the children. When he was asked to bring out his children, David was not even chosen to come out. If David was contesting for a post in his city, his own father would not have voted for him. He just brought out the other ones. It was when the prophet said “are these all thy children?” That he then remembered that there was still one more, looking after the sheep.

And this ignored shepherd boy whose father would not have voted for him in an election now became a deliverer king. A turnaround. Perhaps you are here tonight and the enemy has been telling you that you should not worry your brain, that you will die in this present level you are in, that nothing good can happen again, I have another message for you; that that enemy is a liar, in the name of Jesus!

You can be the worst crook, but if you surrender to Jesus, He can still turn your life around. Paul was a persecutor of Christians and even a killer of the Christians. Now the same person later wrote thirteen epistles and became a church planter. These are just few examples but you can see for yourself that the Bible is a turnaround book and God is a God of turnaround. That God of Abraham, that God of Paul, that God of Moses is your God, and He can take your life and turn it around.

Unfortunately, our Christianity has moved so far away from what God recommended. Many people do not actually understand that when you accept Jesus, it is a complete transformation. The ministry of Jesus was a turnaround ministry. His first miracle was to turn water into wine. God can bring something out of nothing. He can bring oil out of flinty stone. He can bring water out of stone. You can call Luke 4:18-19 the manifesto of the gospel. These words are probably the most powerful turnaround verses in scriptures.

It is true that you might have been born in a manger but you do not have to die in the manger. You do not have to sit and suffer in silence. Remember those lepers? They said “we do not well. We must do something”. So they moved. And as they moved, God also moved.

What are the keys to make you connect to the God of turnaround? There are seven keys which I want to discuss very briefly before we now start praying the turnaround prayers.
1. Make God your friend. Get born again. Change your kingdom, that is what it means. The Bible says “my friends ye are, if you do what I have commanded you”. You may say this is strange to hear the statement “make God your friend” in a church but a lot of churchgoers are waging war against the Almighty. Anytime you say ‘it is my body, I can do whatever I want with it’ or ‘it is my leg, I can do whatever I want with it’, you are fighting God.

You do not own any part of your body. It was his hands and legs that were nailed. So you have to ensure that your salvation is thorough and complete. It is a sad testimony of our day that many people who come to church are not born again. There are bishops that are not born again. There are general overseers that are not born again. There are many pastors that are not born again. There are also many church members that are not born again. Make God your friend, because God is not under any obligation to bless a rebellious child.

2. Genuine repentance. Every genuine turnaround starts with repentance. Repentance is a change of heart. The first process that God uses to turnaround somebody’s life is repentance. And when we say repentance, do not think about it in terms of sin and morals alone. It goes beyond sin. It means to change your mind. Many times, a lot of people who claimed they have repented only regretted; they did not repent. They regretted being caught. Most people who say “I am sorry, I apologise”.

When there is true repentance, you will be aware of what is wrong. You will have Godly sorrow and regret. You will accept personal responsibility for what you did wrong. That is true repentance. It is easier to blame others than to blame ourselves. You must get out of the blame game. Anybody still blaming others has not repented. A lot of what is causing sicknesses and illnesses amongst us, we caused by ourselves. When you eat or do something you are not supposed to eat or do, the sickness comes.

You need to accept responsibility for what you are doing wrong. If you refuse to accept responsibility, then you really have not repented. If you are are pointing fingers, you are not ready for repentance. So true repentance:
– will be aware of what is wrong,
– will have Godly sorrow and regret,
– will accept personal responsibility,
– undergo a change of mind,
– will determine not to repeat it.

If you really want to repent, one good way to do is to take a pen and write down your weaknesses. By taking a pen and writing them down, you are accepting responsibility. It is an acknowledgement that something is wrong. It is sad that people are sometimes dishonest with themselves even in secret.

The problem with lack of repentance is that it weakens your spiritual life. I do not know whether you have ever watched any documentary on lions and how they operate. Lions determine who to attack. They look for limping animals. They look for old animals.

They avoid strong animals because they could run and get themselves into trouble without catching the animal. The lion will always be the lion, and lack of repentance will always make it easy for the enemy to attack you. Unfortunately, we are most times the major architects of the attacks we get. When you are fully repentant, you drop all the destructive habits. Habit is a very serious thing. It is a constant companion. Your habits can be your greatest helper or your greatest burden. It can drag you down to failure or move you forward.

Your habit is completely under your control but if you do not control it, it will become a lion to swallow you. It is something you have to be very firm with. Your habit is a servant but it could also be a master. You have to shake yourself loose from this kind of thing when you repent.

3. Disconnect from your old ways. You must renounce all your old ways, so that you can embrace the new ways. You renounce and cut off all those things you have been doing in the past that are holding you down. You become ashamed of those things of the past. If you see someone who is boasting about his old ways, he is not serious yet. You should even be ashamed to refer to the time when you were an unbeliever. Disconnect from all those things in the past that have put you in bondage.

As a born again child of God, you should not have complimentary cards of your former sinner boyfriends in your handbag again. You have to born all the bridges. You should not have old pictures of your sinner companions in your album, destroy all those pictures. When you see somebody who after he has been preached to, to change his ways is still talking about Solomon and his wives, David and his wives, Abraham and his wives, and how that encourages polygamy for him, he is not ready to disconnect yet.

There are people you must also disconnect from. Disconnect from those people whose presence will pull you back into sin. It is better to starve to death than to sell your body because of money. You must live your new life clearly, avoid living a double life.

4. You must carry out generational deliverance. You must get yourself delivered from any generational bondage therein. There are families where all of them eat a lot of salt. For some others, it could be sugar and sicknesses come into such families. You must deliver yourself from this sort of thing. When you get to some environments and you see the children, you can almost predict that they are going to land where their parents landed. In some families, there is no one in living memory who has ever been financially independent. Nobody has ever built a house or bought anything useful. Deliver yourself.

5. Take steps to renew your mind. Use the Word of God to constantly renew your mind. Our inner man needs constant renewal by the Word of God. You must know the Bible.

6. You must pray destiny enquiry prayers. Prayer to know where you are supposed to be, because if you do not know where you are supposed to be, you will not be angry enough about the position which you are in. When you pray destiny enquiry prayers and God reveals where you are supposed to be, that is when you get mad in the Spirit and become divinely dissatisfied. It is unfortunate that you see many Kings without a palace, you see many many company owners without even a job.

But when you pray destiny enquiry prayers, you know where you are. The prayer could take you one night, ten nights or even one week and then God says “son, for this purpose have I called you, this is why I sent you to this world”. There are people here tonight who are behind with ten years, some five years, some seven years, some eight years and this can be very terrible. This is a very very sad situation and you need to change it.

Pray enquiry prayers and find out where you are supposed to be. Then use it to measure where you are, and then you know what to do. So maybe you were crawling before, you then realise that you have to start running. Or that you were running before and you have to start flying in order to make it. The tragedy of life is not that somebody dies, it is when the destiny dies.

7. Cry for a change. Cry for the Almighty for a change. He is the One who can turn your life around.

These are the seven keys beloveth. I want to recommend that you take this message and listen to it over and over again especially if you want to connect to the God of turnaround.

1. My Father, do anything to turn my life around, in the name of Jesus.
2. O God of this mountain, let me encounter Your messenger before I go, in the name of Jesus.
3. Any satanic joy about my life, expire in the name of Jesus.
4. Any good oil, stolen from my head, gather back to my head now, in the name of Jesus.
5. My destiny, become a terror to the enemies, in the name of Jesus.
6. Powers wanting me to be a candidate of incurable diseases, what are you waiting for? Die in the name of Jesus.
7. Powers seeking for my shame, before I leave this place, die in the name of Jesus.
8. Powers tying me down with failure at the edge of success, die in the name of Jesus.
9. My Father, my Father, my Father, let my enemies run when no one is pursuing them, in the name of Jesus.
10. Every time in my dream, O God appear and defend me, in the name of Jesus.
11. Communication gadgets of darkness, transferring my information, catch fire, in the name of Jesus.
12. Camera of darkness, taking my pictures in the dark world, catch fire in the name of Jesus.
13. Negative powers, programmed into my head, jump out and die! in the name of Jesus.
14. Powers assigned to use my life as a dumping ground, die in the name of Jesus.
15. Witchcraft mortar pounding my destiny, break on the head of the pounder, in the name of Jesus.
16. Every demon, sent to delay me, I bury you now, in the name of Jesus.
17. (Lay your hand on your chest) Satanic bullets, lodging in my body, backfire, in the name of Jesus.
(On the water).
18. Battles assigned to embarass me, you cannot succeed, die in the name of Jesus!
